DESCRIPTION:There are thousands of medieval churches in England\, and they 
 all have their unique story. But for all of them there are shared experien
 ces: the Faith they celebrated\; the Seasons of the Church’s Year\; the 
 clergy and their congregations\; and the buildings and churchyards themsel
 ves. What was it like to enter a medieval parish church? How did people us
 e them and how important were they to their communities? And what happened
  to English parish churches during the Reformation in the 16th century? Ho
 w much of the past really survives in our present buildings? This talk hop
 es to provide answers to these and other questions while celebrating the h
 eritage we enjoy.\n\nMark Mitchels is a well-known and popular speaker in 
 Lavenham. He recently retired from a career in teaching English and Histor
 y and was Head of Cultural Studies at Woodbridge School.\n\nTickets availa
