Painted in 1533, the year that Henry VIII set aside Catherine of Aragon, married Anne Boleyn and sparked a revolution in England’s religious life, it is laden with hidden symbols, clues and mysteries. In this illustrated talk, based on her brand new book, bestselling historian and author Tracy Borman will reveal the secrets of the painting and the turbulent year in which it was created.
