Jan’s talk will begin with the Domesday manor as given to the de Veres, covering the hall and the park, as well as their early manorial history. Jan will go on to focus on John de Vere, 13th Earl of Oxford and his relationship with the Spring family, their dual sponsorship and building of the church.
