Children and young people
The church welcomes children and young people to church on Sundays and often holds Activity Days for children of primary school age during the school holidays . Please contact our Children and Young People's Co-ordinator for further details. Follow the link to discover more about the church's Open the Book initiative, taking bible stories into primary schools and presenting them through a storyteller and role play.
Young Voices Children are welcome to the Church at 5.00 pm on Tuesday evenings to sing together under the expert tuition and encouragement of our Musical Director Kevin Slingsby. Kevin is always assisted by a colleague.
Choir and bell ringing
We have a choir of about 10-12 people drawn from the local area and have a dedicated group of bell ringers. Both groups meet weekly to practice.
Other activities
Our congregation has a wide range of interests. Flower arranging, brass rubbing and cake making skills all contribute to church life and add to a strong sense of fellowship. We are also fortunate to have a group committed to the running of our gift shop and second hand book shop.
Supporting our local foodbank
Foodbanks still have clients in dire need of support. Our local foodbank remains open to provide emergency food supplies for those within our community who cannot afford food. For some time now, the foodbank has benefitted from the generous donations from the people of Lavenham. You can continue to donate food, toiletries and household.products at the East of England Co-op. Their specific needs will be communicated via their Facebook page: Storehouse Foodbank Sudbury.
You can also make a financial donation on their Facebook page or their website ‘Storehouse Foodbank Sudbury’ and click on ‘give’ or send a cheque, payable to ‘Storehouse’ – to Vineyard Centre, Tudor Road, Sudbury, CO10 1NP.
Thank you for your support!
